You are being asked to participate in a research study being conducted at Boston University in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences by students in a research methods class. We are interested in exploring the types of content that college students consume in their daily social media use. Your participation is entirely voluntary, and you may discontinue participation at any time.

The research study will be conducted at a device of your choice. The total amount of time you will be asked to volunteer for this research study is approximately 5-10 minutes. WE ASK THAT YOU COMPLETE THE QUESTIONS AT ONE TIME AND DO NOT HIT THE ‘BACK’ BUTTON.

There are no more than minimal risks associated with completing the questionnaires. Some of the questions that focus on personal feelings and experiences may be upsetting or too personal to share. You are free to withdraw from the research study at any point and to leave blank any question you feel uncomfortable answering.

This survey is anonymous. Your answers cannot be connected to any identifying information, such as your name. The results will be accessible only to the student researchers.
